I know its been a while but with a little help from Darren Ferguson, we've released v2 of AutoTags! Whats happened to v1.5 - 1.9? Well because it was such a big rewrite of code, we thought it was worthy of a full version upgrade. So whats new?

• The UI has been totally changed
• Several configurable options, the largest of which provides the ability to automatically update the tag list when content is changed.
• It's all moved client side so its a lot faster when altering tags

When written out it doesn't appear to be alot, but behind the scenes the package is a mere shadow of its former self. You can download the package from the Projects section of this site, the package page on our.umbraco.org or from the codeplex repository.

This version provides many different configuration options for the package, all of which can be set in the configuration file which is located at

/config/OpenCalaisAutotag/autotags.config

• AllowTagSuggestion - set this to true if you wish to enable calls to the OpenCalais system to generate a list of suggested tags
• GenerateTagsAutomatically - set this to true if you wish tags to be suggested when content changes, without saving the page
• SelectTagsAutomatically - set this to true if you want any suggested tag to be set to active by default
• AllowManualTags - set this to true if you want users to be able to add their own tags into the list
